The Driver's Car Par Excellence
If there's one model that defines BMW's identity, it's the 3 Series. The 2024 330i arrives with its promise intact: to be the best driver's car in its segment. After 3,000 kilometers in city, highway, and a session at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, we can confirm the promise holds.
Design and Ergonomics
The new 3 Series interior adopts the iDrive 8 system with a 14.9-inch curved screen. The cockpit is clearly driver-oriented, with all essential controls within reach without hunting through menus. The driver's seat adjusts to find the perfect position in under a minute.
Engine and Transmission
The B48 2.0-liter turbo delivers 255 hp and 400 Nm from 1,550 rpm. The ZF 8-speed automatic is the best in class: fast in auto, precise in manual. The variable-ratio steering is communicative without being nervous.
On Track
The 330i truly delivers on circuit. Chassis balance is exceptional, M Dynamic Mode stability control allows some controlled slide, and the brakes resist multiple laps without fade. The 50:50 weight distribution is perceptible in every corner.
